At the ancient seaport of Banff, nature's elements meet as the black waters of the River Deveron break into the expanses of the North Sea. The Glen Deveron distillery in Scotland lies at the heart of these competing forces crafting fine single malts of smooth rich charachter. Glen Deveron, Scotland's most easterly distillery, lies on the rugged coast of North East Scotland by the banks of the River Deveron. This coastal landscape lies within the Highland Region for single malt whisky. Glen Deveron cradts its malt in the traditional way using copper pot stillls, fine malted barley and pure spring water.
Tasting Note: The palate is full of stemmy cut hay notes and an earthen rooty quality. There are toasted cereal notes and wood shavings with a grist and soft oak. The finish is long and full of cereal and dry wood notes.
