Distilled since 1896 with water so pure, legend has it, rival distillers have even tried to divert its course. No wonder, since the exceptional quality of the water is just one of the factors that provides the Singleton of Dufftown with its exceptional smoothness. The Dufftown distiller first drew water from highland John’s well in 1896 and continues to do so to this day. Straightforward, nutty and malty single malt from Speyside, the Singleton of Dufftown is matured in both American bourbon and European sherry oak casks. Perfectly balanced, naturally rich and smooth is the ideal summary if this striking single malt. Typically suited to those trying single malts for the first time due to its smooth and enjoyable taste experience.

  • Rated 71 Points, Whisky Bible 2013

Tasting Note: The Singleton of Dufftown 12YO begins with aromas of toasted nut, malt, and rich fruit aromas. This well balanced drop holds loads of life with a light to medium body. On the palate this 12YO is very diverse offering flavours of sweet crunchy nuts.
