Description

Los Arango tequila is made using only 100% blue agave and with a maturity of at least 8 years. Los Arango Distillery believes that a product that takes more than 99,000 hours to be produced should be enjoyed slowly over at least half an hour whilst exploring the flavours, aromas and the history of the tequila. Los Arango Añejo is aged for 18 months in new American oak that is burnt inside to give the tequila a smoky flavor. Each bottle is handmade and has a handcrafted leather neck tag to adorn the bottle neck.

  •  Bronze Medal - San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC) 2009
THE HISTORY
Los Arango is named in honor of José Doroteo Arango, better known as Pancho Villa, the leader of the northern forces fighting for the liberty of the Mexico. During the Mexican Revolution, an agave field worker was so grateful to Pancho Villa for fighting to protect his town against local aggressors that he dedicated his tequila, along with his artisanal recipe and handmade bottle to the revolutionary hero.

Tasting Note: Pale gold colour, Aromas of caramel, spice and oak. Rich palate with vanilla, salt and green pepper flavours. Long, rich and spicy finish.
