Bowmore White Sands was originally released for the travel retail market. Aged for 17 years in ex-bourbon casks, bringing creamy vanilla and thick treacle notes to the table. This pairs wonderfully with the coastal wafts and peat smoke which people love Bowmore whisky for.

  • 88 Points – Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2018 “A muzzled malt which shouldn’t work – but somehow does.”
Bowmore is Islay’s oldest distillery, and home to the world’s oldest whisky maturation warehouse, the No. 1 Vaults. It’s in this legendary warehouse that Bowmore whisky has been meticulously matured by master distillers for nearly 240 years. Bowmore’s founder, the merchant David Simpson, bought the land in 1766 and the first recorded mention of Bowmore Distillery dates from 1779.

Each and every bottle of Bowmore single malt Scotch whisky has been shaped by the exquisite flavours of carefully selected oak casks, rounded by the Hebridean air, and given character by the slow passage of time.

Tasting Note: Warm antique gold. Light peat smoke on the nose, rich treacle toffe and ripe exotic fruits. Creamy toffee and malty sweetness, together with a delicious warm smokiness. Incredibly smooth, warm and comforting finish.
