Master Distiller Jeff Arnett and the whiskey makers of the Jack Daniel’s Distillery have created a unique rye whiskey that’s undeniably spicy and complex yet deliciously smooth. This new expression is crafted from a mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley, natural spring water from the Distillery’s own Cave Spring Hollow, and Jack’s time-honoured charcoal mellowing process.

Reportedly composed of whiskeys up to five years old, with barrels sourced from higher sections of the rickhouse, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye is one of the Distillery’s first new recipes in over 150 years. his has been made available in select markets worldwide and we have managed to get our hands on a limited quantity for Australian sale.

Jeff Arnett, Master Distiller recognised their own customer base enjoy other styles of American whiskey, and as such has been slowly making inroads into this growing category. “Our whiskey-making process is so special… it just makes sense for us to create our version of one of America’s first whiskeys… this is rye whiskey made Jack’s way."

    Not bad, it’s not too far off the JD single barrel rye, at a fraction of the price.
