The winery has 650 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, between Laguardia and Oyon villages. The reputation of Bodegas Faustino centres on the quality and complexity in the wines they develop, adhering to a stringent process using a combination of ageing in oak barrels and bottle prior to launch. Their wines are classified based on this ageing process, presenting exceptional quality and outstanding value. Rioja Crianza designation is granted to wines that have been aged for at least two years prior to release, at least one of which was in oak barrels. Pair with any kind of meat, mushrooms and rice. Oily fish such as tuna or cod and medium aged cheese such as emmental and gruyere.
Tasting Note: Clean, bright cherry red colour with ruby glints. Good aromatic intensity, red fruits, sweet and toasted hints such as vanilla on the background. Intense palate, good acidity, well structured and elegant tannin with a meduim long finish.
