The Story

Finisterre is the premium Robert Oatley Vineyards range featuring wines crafted from our finest grape growing regions. Hand harvesting, fruit sorting and intuitive winemaking delivers wines with clarity, purity, great texture and flavour expression.

The Wine

A light green straw colour is apparent. The balance between the varietal fruit and the oak is perfect, as is the ripeness, with nectarine, white peach, melon and fid all contributing in seamless union. Overall the wine has great balance and the length is tremendous. A true reflection of Mudgee Australia’s great climate, and wine making process.

  • Halliday Rated 96 points 2010 Vintage

''Superb yellow-green; the complex bouquet has an attractive touch of Burgundian funk before the vibrant and lively palate comes into play; here there are grapefruit, white peach and subtle French oak inputs. The finesse, length and attendant citrusy/minerally acidity of the wine is excellent, and it will have a long cellaring future''. -James Halliday

"Outstanding winery regularly producing wines of exemplary quality and typicity"- James Halliday

Tasting Note: Nectarine, white peach, melon and fig flavours are contributes, with a lengthy finish. Crisp and refreshing.
