Inspired by the secrets of a Highland heirloom, Glenmorangie Cadboll brings a sweetness to the Legends Travel Retail Collection. Cadboll is named after the Cadboll cup, a precious 16th century silver wine cup owned by the MacLeods of Cadboll, who created Glenmorangie House and was treasured for generations at their Highland home.

 

This Cadboll cup entwines Scottish artistry and mysterious French influences in its design, and this shared heritage is celebrated in a whisky of dessert-like flavours. Extra-matured in superior French barriques which previously held sweet French wines of Muscat and Sémillion grapes, to echo the wines the cup may have once held.

 

Cadboll is crafted by Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s director of distilling, whisky creation and whisky stocks. “Cadboll’s aromas of baked bread and toasted brioche remind me of France,” Lumsden said. “It is delightfully smooth and sweet on the palate, with tastes of mint humbugs, milky toffee and a long finish, full of old-fashioned confectionery.”
