Jura Prophecy Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

Jura Prophecy is a single malt whisky from one of the most legendary Scotch producers. Entrenched in history, tradition and mythology, Isle of Jura whiskies are renowned for their heavily peated nature with hints of fresh cinnamon and spicy sea spray. Bottled in a traditional style without chill filtration to deliver an authentic taste of 1938. While still a typically Jura bottling, Prophecy steers the flavour profile in a new and exciting direction.

Profoundly peated, something almost akin to birchwood in there with the peat and salt; there is a wonderful natural floral note as wel las coastal elements to this one; impressively two-toned: on one side is the sharper, active barley and peat offering an almost puckering youthfulness and zest; on the other, a sweeter, lightly oiled buzz...at treat; tins as the vanillas enter; youthful, well made and I prophesize this will be one of Jura's top scorers of 2011..." - Jim Murray

Tasting Note: Flavours of peat smoke, fresh cinnamon and spicy sea spray with tarry bonfire notes give way to hints of soft licquorice and nutmeg.
