The Wine

The Gamekeeper’s Shiraz showcases the lushness of the Barossa’s most iconic variety - Shiraz. Juicy plum and cherry flavours combine with a dark chocolate and vanilla framework to create a full bodied but soft, cascading Barossa Shiraz experience.

St Hallett Gamekeeper’s Shiraz is lifted and pretty with lively purple fruit characters and a floral hint. There’s a deeper, savoury layer that adds complexity. Pure red fruits and lifted spices of cinnamon and nutmeg are encased in soft coating tannins on an elegant palate with a long, savoury finish.  A great social wine to pair with anything cooking on your BBQ.

“An accessible, user friendly and quite frankly joyous wine; enjoy and be happy. Good value.”James Halliday, 2013

“The bouquet offers a vibrant array of red fruits, florals and some fruitcake spice; the palate is medium-bodied, soft and supple, looking to provide an accessible, user friendly and quite frankly joyous wine; enjoy and be happy. Good value.”- James Halliday, 2013
