The Story

Much of Australia’s premier wine growing regions were profoundly influenced by volcanic activity of many millennia ago. “Chain of Fire” is the experts’ term for a series of extinct volcanoes.

Rich volcanic soils create ideal conditions for the growth of high quality grapes which we celebrate in this label featuring a blacksmith - in tribute to Vulcan, the Roman God of Volcanoes, a supremely skilled artisan whose metal-working forge was a volcano.

The Wine

The aromas of lifted plum and dark cherries make this wine a pleasure to drink. The wine has been matured in Oak barrels. It is medium bodied and is ready to enjoy now or over the next eight years. Pairs well with lighter meat dishes or pasta.
