Description

If you think you've tried Tanqueray, think again. This is a limited shipment at 'Export Strength' 47.3% ABV, revealing this gin's full splendour. Tanqueray Gin is the premium example of London Dry Gin, founded by Charles Tanqueray in 1830."The world has tired of mediocre gin" he said, and so it was that Tanqueray Gin was born and has since enjoyed a reputation as one of the world's most well-reputed gin brands. Tanqueray is a rarity as one of the very few gins that are triple distilled, the perfect accompaniment for gin cocktails such as the martini, or classic gin and tonic with lime.

Tasting Note: A rich dry gin that is clear yet complex, with pine, fresh juniper and citrus the most prominent flavours. Very smooth, dry and crisp, full with coriander, lemon zest and crystallized fruit. A powerful, peppery and root-driven finish.

    The best martini gin

Published by Ben Hackett on 28th Jun 2021

This is the export strength of 47.3% which means not only do you receive the full power of the botanicals but it is superb in a 4:1 slightly dirty martini. Make sure to chill the glass, and use good vermouth (Noilly Pratt is a good starter). This will also make a potent but polished G&T and give some of the more expensive small batch gins a run for their money!
