The Robert Oatley Signature Series draws on a remarkable portfolio of vineyards nurtured by the wine making talent of Larry Cherubino showcasing Australia’s most successful wine styles and regions. Bob Oatley’s mantra is that all wines should be a “darned good drink”, and the high quality Signature Series delivers immediate appeal, with satisfying flavours over an elegant frame. Each wine embodies the grape varietal and region in which it was grown.
Robert Oatley selected a number of individual parcels of free-run juice from Porongorup, Frankland River and Mount Barker, fermented them with neutral yeast to retain the inherent fruit characters, and used minimal additions to produce a varietal and pure, excellent early to mid-term drinking wine. Enjoy now to 2019. The wine reflects outstanding qualities, and is the result of a well thought out process. The wine is soft and crisp, and has lingering aspects of citrus.

"Pale quartz-green; has the purity of varietal expression peculiar to the Great Southern; the fruit flavours of lime and lemon are delicate, yet run through the long palate and finish, sustained by perfectly balanced acidity. Has a great future." - James Halliday
'"Very pale colour. Superbly fresh and incisive floral and yeasty aromas of very young, undeveloped Riesling. Traces of lime. Very tight, properly dry, concentrated, borderline austere. It is smooth enough, but needs food frankly at this early age. Lovely wine though, and will age very well." - Huon Hooke, Sydney Morning Herald 2012
Tasting Note: Reflecting an outstanding vintage in Western Australia's leading Riesling region, this is a softly textured, crisp, dry, lemon-lime fruited wine with a fine line of acidity.
