Description

Muirheads Finest Blue Seal 3 Year Old is a blended Scotch Whisky distilled in Scotland since 1824. Originally founded by Mr Charles Muirhead, creator of the Glenmorangie Company, the brand arrived on Australian shores in 2008 and there is already a burgeoning legion of Muirheads converts worldwide. Aged in oak casks for a minimum of 3 years and as such the youngest in the Muirheads range of premium Scotch Whiskies, Muirheads Finest traces its origins back centuries to the very beginning of recorded Scottish history.

The Blue Seal Blend has received a great rap in the esteemed Jim Murray Whisky Bible of 2013. Jim hath bestowed upon the blend 84/100 (which is better or on line with most of the major blends!) and doth sayeth, "A beautifully compartmentalised dram that integrates superbly." Derived from the Muirhead Clan, Gaelic for "Head of the Moor"€ or "Highest Point of the Moor"€, the contemporary Muirheads Scotch range perfectly embodies its proud and venerated origins.

Tasting Note: Light golden straw. Crisp grain with hints of apple and toffee. Mouth-watering and fatty, crisp clean flavours can be detected of light fruit and floral notes. Short and clean.
