The Manyara Pinot Noir was handpicked in the cool of the morning to capture the essence of the fruit. The Pinot was transported to the winery and kept in the cool room for 24 hours, partially destemmed with an addition of 30% whole bunches. The ferment started naturally and lasted for 14 days. The skins were left on for a week before being gently basket pressed to French oak. The resultant wine was matured in French oak - 20% being new. The 2016 vintage was harvested on 27/02/15.

ABOUT MANYARA WINES
Manyara Wines is a family owned and operated vineyard and winery, established on fertile land once used to breed and train thoroughbred race horses located in Balhannah, Adelaide Hills, Australia. The lush vines on the property were planted in 1994 and are well known for their quality yield. The fruit is carefully hand-tended and handpicked to create premium, single vineyard wines.
The altitude of the region brings low night-time temperatures and rainfall, both which have a positive influence on grape growing. Shop from a collection of fresh Sauvignon Blanc, classic Chardonnay, elegant Pinot Noir Rosé, crisp Pinot Grigio and rich Pinot Noir.
Tasting Note: Nose of plum, fresh beetroot and dark cherry. The palate has hints of soy, spice with red liquorice and tight blueberry notes. It has a lingering palate and tight acidity typical of good Pinot Noir.
