ORIGIN The Bordeaux AOC is one of the largest, and certainly one of the most famous, wine regions of France.Growing mainly red grape varieties, the Merlot is the predominant variety within the Bordeaux region where it is able to express its full potential.
VINIFICATION After a short pre-fermentation maceration to extract the aromatic compounds from the skins, vinification takes place at a controlled temperature. 4-6 months ageing then enables the tannins to soften and gives the wine its spicy, oaky character.
Serve between 16-18°C. Best enjoyed within 2-3 years. Pair with red meats, hard cheeses, chocolate desserts.
