Laphroaig Triple Wood single malt whisky is and expression of Laphroaig's famous whiskies, from the remote island of Islay in the Western Isles of Scotland. It has enjoyed a triple maturation in 3 types of cask; the first maturation is in American oak, ex-bourbon barrels then transfer into small 19th century style Quarter Casks for a second maturation, and final maturation is in specially selected, large European oak, Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a wonderfully rich and powerful Islay single malt. Laphroaig Triple Wood is a non-chill filtered whisky and may go cloudy when water is added in the glass. This is perfectly normal for a non-chill filtered whisky.
Rated 86 Points - Jim Murray Whisky Bible 2017 - "A pleasing and formidable dram, an attractive whisky in many ways."

Tasting Note: The aromas are sweet with a gentle mixture of raisins and creamy apricots, with a trace of dry peat smoke at the back. On the palate are creamier flavours of vanilla and fruit with a suggestion of sherry. With a touch of water, the peat is gentled.
