About The Glenrothes
Hidden from the main street in the town of Rothes, The Glenrothes is an award-winning Speyside Single Malt distillery and a pioneer in the whisky industry. The distillery lies at the foot of the Mannoch Hills beside the Rothes burn. The water used in the process of making Glenrothes whisky comes from two natural springs upstream of the town, the Ardcanny and the Brauchhill.
All Glenrothes Single Malts are vintage whisky, meaning the whisky distilled from a particular year which has reached its peak maturity, character and flavour, rather than bottling at a pre-determined age.
Tasting Note: Golden amber. Sweet toffee and anise, heather and brown butter. Medium body and a slight dry quality. Suggestions of sweet toffee, pepper, mint and spice are present. Satisfyingly lingering with spice, mineral and toffee qualities.
