Description

The Dalmore 12 Year Old is a distinctive and esteemed single malt Scotch Whisky, as bold as the stag emblasoned on the bottle. The Dalmore is a highly respected dram of distinction, history and pedigree; the product of a small and dedicated team of local stillmen with a rich family lineage connected to the production of Dalmore's Scotch Whiskies. Shaped by time, water and weather, The Dalmore 12 gratefully rewards its loyal admirers with a unique, full taste that perfectly reflects its origins.

Adhering to the legend of The Dalmore, this offering projects a robust, elegant and courageous palate, reminiscent of the courage shown by the founding Mackenzie family member when he risked his own life to save Scotland's then ruler, from a charging stag. Aged for longer than the typical 10 years in American oak and sherry barrels, this single malt distinctly benefits from this time-honouring approach.

  • 90 Points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2019 - "A real mouth-filling, rumbustious dram."
  • Finalist (F): 95 points - Ultimate Spirits Challenge (USC) 2019

Tasting Note: Malty, orange, dark plums, chocolate, caramel, marzipan and aromatic spice. Intense citrus and hints of sweet vanilla pod, plums, coffee, cinnamon with sweet toffee, brown spices, leather, and robust exotic peppercorns. A long sherry-wooded fade.
