Bushmills Black Bush is a blended Irish Whiskey developed in 1934 by Ireland's oldest working distillery. Black Bush is Bushmills premier blend and was originally called 'Old Bushmills Special Old Liqueur Whiskey'. The new name more aptly reflects this special and intriguing blend. Black Bush is a supremely unique combination of single malt whiskeys aged in Spanish Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks, then blended with a small portion of delicate and sweet single grain whiskey, gifting the whiskey with the distinctive Black Bush flavour that distinguishes it from the Bushmills White Label. The end result of this unique recipe is Bushmills Black Bush Irish Whiskey; a fruity and deeply intense yet smooth dram with a lively and spicy character.

"Of all the famous old blends in the British Isles, this has probably bucked the trend by being an improvement on its already excellent self. The warehouses of Bushmills distillery boast the highest quantity of quality, unsulphured sherry butts I have encountered in the last 20 years. This is a belter, even by its normal own high standards. Truly classic and should be far easier to find than is normally the case." - Jim Murray

Tasting Note: Full rich fruitcake aroma, intense sherry sweetness developing into dried fruit, raisin and Christmas cake notes. Soft, silky texture with a nutty character and the rich flavours of molasses and chocolate. Lingering leather and smoke sweetness.
