Description

Angostura 1919 is a delectable Añejo (aged rum) made from a blend of light and heavy molasses-based rums. Multi award winning and exuding a complex bouquet with aromas of cocoa, molasses, caramel and vanilla - this rum will not to disappoint.  Angostura is a company renowned for their aromatic bitters, since the 1960's Angostura has become increasingly renowned for their fantastic quality rums.

Angostura 1919 is aged for a minimum of 8 years in charred American oak bourbon barrels, resulting in rum possessing a rich, golden-amber hue with excellent clarity. A fantastic reminder of why premium rums are created, with a remarkable softness and well-rounded quality. Boasting a generous and long-lasting array of toasty flavours, 1919's finish is warm and very relaxing.

  • Gold Medal Rated 91 points (Exceptional) - International Review of Spirits
  • World's Best Rum - World Drinks Awards 2017

Tasting Note: Pale gold hue. Nose delivers ripe banana, brown sugar, honeycomb, molasses, dark chocolate and liquorice strap. Silky palate with waves of spice, boiled lollies, honeycomb and toasty oak. Long, subtle aftertaste of vanilla bean, dates and mocha.
