Meaning rare cask’ in Gaelic, Casg Annamh is an exciting no age statement single malt release from Aberlour. The expression is created in small batches and matured in three different types of hand selected casks: European Oak Sherry Casks and two types of American Oak Casks resulting in a rich and intense whisky. A bold, flavoursome and Casg Annamh was first created for the French market but is now a global release and has great balance with a round full body and an oily feel. Expect sweet and fruity flavours of apple and cinnamon crumble and ripe peaches, balanced with spicy notes of licorice and cloves.
